Who We are and where we came from
Lock 32 Whitewater Park is a constant flow, man-made, class II-III, whitewater park built in the spillway of the Erie Canal’s historic Lock 32. The park opened to the public in 2001 and is located in Pittsford, NY. The park can be accessed from the DOT side of the canal and includes flatwater access for paddlers who would like hourly rentals. For public access to launch your personal craft use the canal park lot and dock on the North side of the canal.
We offer a variety of services including: week long summer kids camps, evening classes for adults and children, one-on-one opportunities with instructors, and public access to the facilities during open hours.
For information about classes and seasonal access visit our services page. If you are interested in flatwater kayaking or stand up paddleboard rentals please call us (rates can be found to the right).
We also offer access to the park during public hours (listed to the left, prior experience required for whitewater paddling).
Daily Access Rates
Day Pass - $20
Equipment Rental - Additional $20
If you plan on paddling at the park for more than 8 days this season consider purchasing a season pass for $150 ($250 with gear, season passes only include access to the whitewater park, hourly rental rates still apply).
