Salmon River Trip (2024)
Have you taken an introductory class but want to know what’s next for you in your whitewater kayaking adventure? Then you are invited to join Lock 32 Paddling Center on the thrilling Salmon River located in Pulaski, New York. The Salmon River is the perfect place for beginner to intermediate kayakers to learn the basic skills of river running. The Salmon River is a class two, three river with many different rapids, progressively challenging you as you go down stream. You will spend at least four hours navigating the 4-mile stretch of river, a great place to have your first river running experience!
If you are worried that you have lost your skills since your last class don’t worry, we have warm up sessions included to get you back in your boat to feel loose and ready for the adventure that lies ahead.
For all classes, please bring swimwear, sunscreen, thin soled water shoes that will stay on in the current, snacks, and WATER! On cooler days fleece base layers are a great asset. NO COTTON PLEASE!
